Praxis

Praxis - what is it? It's a word that describes the actions of a person that is consistent with their belief system.

John 1:23 talks about John the Baptist's purpose for his life. When the Jews sent priests and Levites to inquire about his activities, John quotes Isaiah to refer to himself. John understood something that every Christ-follower must come to terms with. He said, "I am the voice of one crying out in the wilderness, 'Make straight the way of the Lord.'"

Here's the thing - by the way we live we can either make crooked the ways of the Lord or we can make His ways crystal clear to all around us.

There is great confusion about who God is and who Jesus is. Either, through our actions and choices, we demonstrate the Lordship of Jesus Christ over our lives and over creation, or we cloud this same message.

The simple truth is no one will ever come to know Jesus Christ and His supreme Lordship over creation on their own. The truth of this reality has to be demonstrated.

The confusion of Jesus' Lordship is due to the confusion of the Lordship of Jesus in the lives of Christ-followers.

I desire to make the Lordship over creation crystal clear through my life. And I pray that this is the desire of every single Christ-follower.
